This Year I Resolved to Worry Less and It’s Working!

Is it July already? Time flies.

Mid-year is the perfect time to reflect on personal goals. Back in January I resolved to worry less about everything. Instead of worrying, I simply go to bed earlier.

Why did I resolve to change my behaviour in this way?

2018 was a transformational year, but it took a toll. Gains I made were often made at the expense of a good night’s rest. Trading off sleep is a form of self-sabotage, hence my formal resolution to cut it out in 2019.

So, how is the resolution working out, Lucy?

It’s gone surprisingly well, considering my life has grown more complex over the past 6 months.

  • One of my side hustles blew up in March and affected the pace of my writing. Despite this I hit 4K followers on Medium in June (amazing!).
  • In May I took on a challenging role in a new industry. It’s been fast paced with some overseas travel too (great inspiration for my Haiku!)

The more diversified my life becomes the less I wish to lose sleep to worry.

Newsflash: Everything looks brighter in the morning!
