That’s very true. It reminds me how when arrived in Japan I was fascinated by textiles and fabrics of kimono – often the color combinations were very ugly by western standards. I started to collect and photograph them even. It wasn’t until I learnt the language though that I had a full appreciation for different sensibilities. I will have to look into Korean perspective from now. Thanks for the suggestion!
