No one can presume to know what drives another person. Every man, every woman is on their own path in life.

Case in point – I am highly ambitious and produce as high a standard of work as any of my colleagues. I expect equal access to opportunity and to earn an equivalent wage. I don’t agree with a system that doesn’t operate based on merit. That is why I wrote this article – to challenge the status quo, inspire a fresh outlook, debunk rationalizations etc. In doing so, my objective is to raise women and society up as a whole.

Societal change takes time. Discussions like this are a necessary part of the process. So thanks again for sharing your thoughts, Meerkat.
