For what it is worth — I am constantly working on shifting my perspective — especially with regard to not dwelling. But gets easier with practise. When I am upset about something — I force myself to think about or do something else. Afterall — that thing I am upset about is not going anywhere… but surprisingly it does go somewhere — 9 times out of 10 it just disappears into thin air! So, yes, I believe perspective is something we can control and train ourselves to improve.
