I’m humbled you would pass my article along to your daughter. A supportive family makes a world of difference — especially for women. It’s funny you mentioned marine biology because that was a career I looked into once upon a time. Although I went into design rather than science in the end. At any rate, I always imagined I could do something if I put my mind to it. I imagine this has resulted from my upbringing so probably your daughter feels the same! It’s never too late to chase dreams or to pursue goals and interests. Sometimes we surprise others (and ourselves) in the process.
