It is possible there is a tipping point whereby you have enough followers to match the performance of articles posted in publications — but I can’t say for sure.

The articles posted on my page in March have performed slightly better than usual. Most striking the read ratio doubled to over 60% — it is logical since I am publishing to my own network over a publication’s network which is more diverse.

I sense timing of posts is important — I prefer to post in US daytime hours to maximize views. I can’t control this when I use publications. This is the main reason I stopped using publications lately.
