I confess I have resisted the “40 things I love challenge”. No offense to anyone who has nominated me. It’s just that I have a perverse character streak.
I am a bonafide non-participatory party pooper.
You can count on me to stop a chain letter dead in its tracks. If you say truth or dare, I’ll say no thanks to both.
Hoaxes I debunk in a flash. I broke up with someone once because he believed in crop circles (it’s a long story). That kind of thing is a deal breaker for me.
Yes, I really am this pedantic (and annoying).
So you may wonder why I am sharing 40 things I love in response to being nominated? Well, this is no ordinary article.

For days I have pondered what to write. What topic is worthy of this distinction? Should I draft a poem or a motivational piece?
I was torn.
In the midst of my indecision I had an epiphany. I am all about challenging the status quo, right? Well sometimes that means stepping up and being participatory — damn it!
